Coming to terms & admitting certain things about yourself to your own self, has gotta be harder than confessing your sins to a priest, methinks.
For one, there is a whole lot less judgment coming from someone of faith & a believer in forgiveness.
Secondly, for you to forgive your own self; to hear yourself speak the words which are the hardest to admit – that’s the excruciating bit.
I think I’m slightly incoherent at this point. I prefer to call it a natural progression of emotions, though.
Like a three steps forwards, two steps back kinda thing. Doesn’t matter how long it takes; bottom line is, that you’re still moving ahead.
